The Presidential Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu Sunday afternoon arrived Daura, Katsina State to pay sallah homage to President Muhammadu Buhari.
Very prominent in his entourage is the Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Sunday Dare, a long-standing ally of the APC standard bearer. It will be recalled that Dare was Tinubu's Chief of Staff for 8 years before becoming a National Commissioner at the Nigeria Communications Commission (NCC).
Information filtering out of Daura indicate that Tinubu used the occasion to brief President Buhari on his choice of Sen. Kashim Shettima as running mate. Shettima, a two-term Governor of Borno State, played a pivotal role in the intra-party campaigns leading to the primaries, becoming its arrow-head in the North.
