In continuation of his services to humanity, and in furtherance of his preoccupation as a community leader, the immediate past Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Chief Sunday Dare, CON FNIS has donated 5000 bags of rice and Ten (10) Solar Powered Kiosks to the people of Ogbomosoland.
Chief Sunday Dare made the donations, on Saturday July 15th, 2023; in commemoration of the 2023, Daniel Akin Dare Foundation Day.
The bags of rice and solar powered kiosks were distributed to beneficiaries, from different religious organizations, youth groups and less privileged in societies across Ogbomoso zone; inclusive of all the five Local Government Areas in Ogbomosoland - Ogbomoso North, Ogbomoso South, Oriire, Ogo Oluwa and Surulere; regardless of their party affiliation.
Speaking to the media, at the event, held at Doxology Villa, Maryland Oke Aanu Area of Ogbomoso; the representative of Chief Sunday Dare on the occasion, Barrister Sulyman Dawud Abẹsẹ said that the gesture was a token of Chief Dare's appreciation, for the support he got from them, while serving as Minister, in the last four years.
"this event is mainly to appreciate all of you, and thank Almighty God. Honestly, he can't appreciate the good people of Ogbomosoland enough, for their overwhelming support throughout his tenure, as minister, in the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari, Barrister Abẹsẹ stated.
He added that Chief Dare was moved to distribute food items; which included bags of rice and also present the Solar Powered Kiosks which will help in empowering the youths, who may venture into small scale businesses, such as; Fast-food, Baber-Shop, Fabrics, Tailoring, Hair and Beauty Salon.
Commending the kind gesture of Chief Dare, some of the beneficiaries appreciated him for his consistency in impacting the lives of people of Ogbomosoland, Oyo State and even Nigeria at large, irrespective of creed, political affiliation or other considerations.
They all prayed for more of God's blessings, elevation, upliftment upon him; and for God to grant him all his heart desires, so that he can touch more lives positively.
The Daniel Akin Dare (DAD) Foundation, is a Charitable Organization, established by Chief Sunday Dare in honor of his late father Mr. Daniel Akin Dare, for the sole purpose of impacting the Society and humanity at large.
The DAD Foundation has in the past, impacted the society, by offering scholarships in education, conducting free medical programs and eye treatment, as well as giving cash grants, business support, training, financial and vocational empowerments to indigenes of Ogbomosoland, Oyo State and Nigeria at large.
