Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi who is recovering from a knock was in a virtual meeting with his Super Eagles teammates on Friday.
The injured midfielder extended his goodwill message to the team on the eve of the AFCON.
This was disclosed by the team captain, Ahmed Musa at the pre match conference.
Musa said Ndidi has been in touch with the team and team misses his presence but they will do well to honour him, as well as Boniface and Sadiq Umar who all pulled out injured.
Paul Onuachu, Terem Moffi and Alhassan Yusuf have all been called to replace the players injured in the squad.
The Super Eagles take on Equatorial Guinea on Sunday in Abidjan in their first game.
