World Cup Qualifiers: Sports Minister visits Super Eagles in training

The Honourable Minister of Youth and Sports Development Mr. Sunday Dare on Wednesday 23rd March, 2022 paid a visit to the Super Eagles at their training camp at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium where he encouraged them and revealed his confidence in their victory ahead.

Speaking to them he said;

Thank you so much for turning up for Nigeria, we know that we’ve put Cameroon and the Cup of Nations behind us and the messes I got after Cameroon is that we will visit our anger on Ghana.”

He further stated that focus is key to the victory: “Just do your thing, it’s football don’t listen to the noise, play the football with maximum focus.”

The Super Eagles’ captain, Ahmed Musa also appreciated the Sports Minister on behalf of the team saying; “We really appreciate you especially the job well done on the pitch because when we came yesterday we were surprised with the swift growth and development compared to what we saw when we even came in January and we believe with what you’ve done here, more of these are coming”

The Team will be departing to Kumasi for the first leg taking place on Friday 25th March, 2022 and back to Abuja for the return leg taking place on Tuesday 29th March 2022 at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja.
