The head coach of the Super Eagles spoke about giving a chance to play, to some players who are yet to taste action in the ongoing AFCON.
According the Gafer, “we will give some players chances to prove themselves with the last match, we want to win and boost the confidence level of the team ahead of the knock out stages. It’s s not out of place to try some players too, all of them will be given equal chances to play in this tournament”.
When asked about the last opponent to play come Wednesday, “we cant underrate a team who gave Pharaohs of Egypt a run for their money and mind you, has chances to qualify too. It’s going to be a very competitive match”.
The Super Eagles trained under floodlights as the last match comes up 8pm in the night.
The head coach concluded by saying, “we do hope to win and get prepared for next stage of the competition”.
Last match of the group comes up Wednesday the 19th January, 2022.
