We are still Work-in-progress says Ottasolo FC President as his team beat Lagos State Professionals

Ottasolo FC President, Otunba Gabriel Davies has said his team is still work-in-progress after his team recorded an emphatic victory over Lagos State Professional Footballers.


The astute administrator who watched from the stand on a raining Friday morning as his team trounced Lagos State Professional Footballers 3 - 1, told pressmen in a post match interview that his team (Ottasolo FC) is still a work-in-progress and assured the team will be ready before the commencement of the forthcoming NNL season.


"Yes, I think the match was a very good test for us. We started preparations a few months ago and I am very glad with the performance of the boys.


"They showed some level of characters and displayed good football artistry.


"We are still work in progress and i am sure, we will be fully ready before the commencement of the season. We will take the positives from this game and work on the mistakes.


Otunba Gabriel continued by appreciating the Lagos State Professionals Team for honouring the match.


"I wish to thank and appreciate the Lagos State Professional Footballers for honouring this match. They showed class and spirit of sportsmanship on and off the pitch. The President concluded.


Ottasolo FC continued their NNL preparations with a famous 3-1 victory over Lagos State Professional Footballers in a thrilling encounter that was decided at the Prince Alade Memorial Stadium in Lagos.


The Lagos State Professionals paraded household stars like Tosin Omoyele of Enyimba, Tamara of Kano Pillars, Sikiru Alimi, ONUWA, Abu Azeez, Femi Thomas and more NPFL stars.


The young and agile Ottasolo FC squad were determined and made their intentions taking positive result known from the blast of the first whistle as they came close to open scoring with five minutes into the proceedings. Lagos Professional goalie Femi Thomas dealt with the danger.


As the game progressed, the Professionals showed some moments of brilliance in the middle of the park with crisp passes to set up Alimi who could not muscle his way past Ottasolo defender Boluwaji Solumade.


Ottasolo FC drew the first blood and take the lead through RIDWAN who poked home from aa goal-mouth scramble after IFEANYI sent in a low cross into the danger area of the Lagos Professional.


With three minutes before halftime, former Lobi Stars striker, Sikiru Alimi restored parity with an emphatic close range effort to ensure the first half ended 1-1.


Coach Seyi Olufemi Boys came out like a house on fire in the second half as they force Lagos Professionals back to their half and enjoy more of the ball possession.


The trio of POOSI, Samuel Ogunjimi and Isah Muhammed stood their ground in the middle of the park for Ottasolo to ensure they were not outshone by the experience of Onuwa and his compatriots.


Ottasolo restored their lead on 69 minutes from the penalty spot through the Skipper of the side, Solumade Boluwaji after Lagos Professional goalie, Femi Thomas wrestled down Megba Tomola in the 18-yard box.


The Professionals introduced some fresh legs and threw more body forward in search of the equalizer.


However, AMOS added salt to the would of Lagos Professionals with a fine finish to double Ottasolo lead at the tail end of the game.


The referee looked at his time and sounded the final whistle as Ottasolo FC ran away with an emphatic 3 - 1 victory.


With this victory, it means Ottasolo FC are unbeaten in 11 games as they continued their build-up to the forthcoming Nigeria National League (NNL) season.
