June, 6 2023.

Arsenal Star, Bukayo Saka has in continuation of his vacation in Nigeria, visited his grandparents - grand Ma and grand Pa - in Oro, a town located in Irepolodun Local Government Area of Kwara State.

Pictures of the visit circulating on Social Media showed that the 21 year old who just inked an enhanced new contact with the Gunners, was in Oro with his agent, Emeka Obasi, ckdmedia.ng reports.

Born and raised in England, for whom Saka played at age group levels, before opting to play for the Three Lions, instead of the Super Eagles; the winger has never hidden his passion and love for Nigeria, his heritage.

Not too long ago, he revealed to the Sun in England, the meaning of his first name, "Bukayo", which means ‘God has added joy to my life'.

Remarkably, Saka said the name was given to him by his grandmother, so that he (Bukayo) can add even more happiness to the family.

Having made his senior debut in 2018, it is apt to also say Saka has also been able spreading a lot of joy for Arsenal on the pitch; having netted 14 goals, while providing 11 assists, in 38 matches, last season.

Since touching down at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos, last Wednesday, Saka has visited many parts of Lagos, including remote areas, including Bariga, where his grand parents settled early in their family life.

Saka himself, also spent some years in Bariga before moving with his parents to London.

While in Bariga, Saka in company of the Red Cross, donated to an orphanage, Bales of Mercy, where abandoned and destitute children find comfort and succour.

He also paid a courtesy visit on Lagos State Governor, at the State House, Marina, and gave the governor, a signed Arsenal No. 7 Saka Jersey.

The governor later wrote on his official Twitter handle:

“As a proud #Gunner, I’m incredibly proud of the inspiring run of Arsenal in the Premier League... their determination has motivated many and we're determined to replicate such in our sports, at the grassroots", he wrote.
