Nigeria's River United on Saturday held their mandatory training session at the Estádio 11 de Novembro in Talatona (near Luanda), preparatory to their CAF Confederation Cup Group B, Day-3 fixture against DC Motema Pembe FC of the DR Congo.

The mandatory training session ahead of Sunday's

tie was to enable the NPFL Champions have a feel of the Stadium, one of the venues that hosted Africa Cup of Nations matches, when Angola hosted the showpiece tournament, in 2006.

Daring Club Motema Pembe of DR Congo, opted to play their home group matches across the boarder, rather than do so at the home ground of their bitter domestic rivals, TP Mazambe, in Lubumbasi; after

CAF rejected their traditional home ground.

Rivers United arrived in Luanda on Friday, via Addis Ababa Ethiopia, where they had a stopover and were well received by a handful of Nigerians residing in the Angolan capital.

Having thrashed ASEC Mimosas of Côte d'Ivoire 3-0 in Uyo on Day-2 to erase the 3-0 trouncing handed them by Diables Noires of Congo in Brazzaville, on Day-1; the Pride of Rivers looks like a team that have learnt some lessons, and are determined to cut out the mistakes that saw them concede thrice in the first half, on Day-1.

The Group is currently led by Diables Noirs, who are on four points, followed by Rivers United who are second with 3 points; and DC Motema Pembe are 3rd with 2 points; whilst ASEC Mimosas are 4th with a solitary point.

The Ivorians are hosts to Diables Noires of the Congo, in the other Group B match to be played in Abidjan.
