Youth and Sports Development Minister Sunday Dare has celebrated the successful UFC title defence of Nigeria's Isreal Adesanya over Robert Whittaker.
Adesanya had a convincing performance in Houston, on Sunday, winning the much published rematch against his American rival on all the judges' scorecards in the middleweight contest.
Dare, in a statement, said Adesanya is a worthy Nigerian ambassador and a global torchbearer for the youth.
Israel Adesanya and his Nigerian compatriot Kamaru Usman have been dominant figures in the mixed martial arts field.
