Nigeria's Turkey-based, Ologo Michael who plies his trade with Istanbulspor Football Club, in the Turkish top flight league, is the latest player invited to the Under- 20 Camp, by Head Coach Ladan Bosso.
The Flying Eagles, as seven time African champions, are pooled in group A, alongside the tournament hosts, Egypt, Senegal and Mozambique.
Recall that Ologo Michael was in action for Coach Salisu Yusuf led Olympic Eagles in both legs of the the CAF Under-23 qualifiers against their Tanzanian counterparts, the U-23 Taifa Stars.
The 19 year old defender is seen as possessing the needed experience to strengthen the backline of the Coach Ladan Bosso squad, for the hurculeen task ahead, in the coming weeks.
In fact, Michael showed brilliantly a fortnight ago in the match against Galatasaray where his yeoman's job in the defense was huge for Istanbulspor; hence he is seen as the player whose experience will be the tonic required for Nigeria to qualify for the 2024 Olympics in Paris, and possibly lift the Under-20 African Cup of Nations, come March, 2023.
