The Flying Eagles of Nigeria will play two more games, while in Morocco, in the build up to their participation in the 17th edition of the CAF Under-20 Africa Cup of Nations, to be staged in Egypt from February 19th to March 11th, 2023.
The Under 20 Eagles arrived in Morocco on Thursday, enroute Cairo Egypt, on Thursday and will have two test games against Congo Brazzaville and the Central Republic of Africa (CAR).
The first of the two games, will come up on Sunday, February 12th against Congo Brazzaville who are also in Morocco to put finishing touches to their preparation for the AFCON proper.
The Flying Eagles under the watchful eyes of Ladan Issa Bosso had their first training session on Friday under a climatic condition that is not too favourable.
The weather in Morocco, like winter in Europe or nearby Spain is extremely cold, at about now.
But the youngsters, who are now reduced to the permissable number 21 will have to show the Coaching Crew that they can effectively cope with such adverse climatic condition, against Congo Brazzaville on Sunday; as well as the CAR three days later.
Immediately after the second test match, the team will depart for Egypt, for the tournament proper.
The only player who made the final list, but has yet to join; Ahmed Abdullahi of Gent football club of Belgium, is expected to join the rest of the team in Morocco.
