Head coach of Niger Tornadoes Football club, Abubakar Bala is expecting the Kwara State Stadium to be a fortress for his team ahead of the commencement of the 2021/2022 Nigeria Professional Football League campaign jetting off this weekend.
Bala in an exclusive chat with CKDMedia said picking Ilorin as their adopted venue for the season was an easy choice, following the relationship he enjoined with Soccer fans in the state.
He mentioned the club had several choices including Kaduna and Abuja which is closer to Minna but highlighted that having established a formidable relationship with Kwarans during his time with Kwara United was crucial.
The former National Under-20 handler explained that their target is to maintain their topflight status, having been away from the elite division for sometime.
Ahead of the clash against Plateau United, Bala added:
"Plateau United is one of the strongest team in the north, we will give them that respect but we are not taking anything away from the fact that three points is non-negotiable".
"We are very optimistic and ready to go with our preparations, we will fight to get the maximum points to give us a positive start". Bala Concluded.
