The Executive Governors of Benue, Kaduna and Plateau States have hosted Super Eagles ace, Moses Simon in the aftermath of his superb contributions to Nigeria's Super Eagles silver-winning campaign at the just concluded African Cup of Nations held in Cote d'Ivoire.

The wing wizard was born to Benue parents, and he stands as a son of the State, popularly known as the food basket of the Nation. Over the years, he has contributed to the social development of the State through his gigantic philanthropic projects. Benue's Governor, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia thanked Simon for representing the State and being a good ambassador of Benue.

Also, the Executive Governor of Kaduna State, Senator Uba Sani received the Simon, as he expressed the appreciation of the good people of Kaduna State. Moses Simon was born and bred in Kaduna, a State that he continues to give back to, after establishing Simoiben Academy in the heart of Kaduna. The Academy has taken youths off the streets of Kaduna, with one of its exports, Benjamin Frederick plying his trade in England for Brentford FC.

The winger was also received by the Executive Governor of Plateau State, Caleb Mutfwang, who also reiterated his pride in the performance of the Super Eagles and thanked Moses Simon for being a faithful servant to Nigeria and an adopted son of Plateau State. In the early days of his career, Simon plied his trade with Golden Boot Academy of Jos. He has continually upheld the Plateau state as one of his homes and never shies away from giving back to the people of the Plateau.

In his appreciation statement made available to CKDMedia, Simon thanked Mr President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governors Hyacinth Alia, Uba Sani, and Caleb Mutfwang. He stated that Benue, Kaduna, and Plateau remain part of his top favourite places in the world, and promised to keep supporting positive prosocial outcomes in these states, and in Nigeria at large.

He sued for peace and unity across all states in Nigeria, reiterating that development can only occur when all Nigerians work in one accord. Earlier on Tuesday, he was part of the Super Eagles crew that received National honours from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The 71-time capped winger will be raring to go next month, as the Super Eagles shifts attention to the World Cup and Nations Cup qualifiers.
