The wait is almost over for one of the biggest events of 2023, the Access Bank Lagos City Marathon, which starts on Saturday, 4th of February, 2023.
Access Bank Lagos City Marathon was created for the purpose to impact lives positively and create long-lasting experiences. The Marathon that is starting tomorrow, is back with a unique platform, which includes giving people the opportunity to live their best life.
A closer look will reveal to even the visually impaired that the organizers, Nilayo Sports Management Limited out did themselves in the planning and organization of this year's race.
Lovers of sports especially athletics and road racing, should be set for the thrills, intrigues and the excitement associated with all elite marathons, in the World, as well as knowing the identity of the winner of the very first edition to hold, following the certification of the marathon as a Gold-Label race, by World Athletics!
The start point of the 42km race is the National Stadium, in Surulere Lagos, and the finish point is Eko Atlantic City, Victoria Island. Winners of the various categories, and who goes home with the huge prizes on offer at the 8th Lagos Access Marathon race, will be feted here.
This year's race also encapsulates the 10 kilometers road race, and should the weather and other elements be kind enough, for the strong field of elite runners to return appreciable times, the Gold-Label would soon give way to a more illustrious badge, the Diamond-Label.
