As qualification for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar heads to the next phase, the Super Eagles of Nigeria will on the 18th December know the opponent who may stand in their way of making it to the global competition.

Nigeria alongside Group winners in Algeria, Tunisia, Morocco and Senegal will be seeded, meaning when the draws for the final playoffs is staged, they will avoid each other.

The Eagles could still face stiff competition from unseeded countries like Mali, Cameroun, DR Congo, Ghana and Egypt for a place in Qatar in a two legged match.

According to the latest FIFA Rankings, the eagles will play the first leg of the playoffs away then return home to play the second leg with all matches scheduled between March 21-29, 2022.
