Ahead of the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers against the Warriors of Zimbabwe and Lesotho, coach of Nigeria's Super Eagles, Jose Peseiro has handed a maiden call up to England-born Nigerian winger, Nathan Adewale Tella.
ckdmedia.ng reports that the Bayer Leverkusen forward has been on the radar of the Super Eagles coaches for a while and Peseiro duly extended an invitation to the 24 year old, ahead of the important clashes later this month.
Tella broke into the limelight at Southampton, before going on to do exploits at Burnley. He propelled the Clarets to the Championship title last season, earning an EPL promotion ticket alongside.
He fired in 17 goals and grabbed 5 assists in 39 games last season. This earned him a 20 million pounds move to Bayer Leverkusen, where he signed a five-year contract last summer.
The winger will hope to bring pace, spark and creativity to the Super Eagles flanks.
