Nigeria's opponent for Sunday's AFCON 2023 opening clash, Nzalang Nacional of Equatorial Guinea were held to a 1-1 draw at home by Djibouti in a pre-AFCON friendly game played on Tuesday afternoon.
The Guineans opened the scoring via Carlos Akapo in the 15th minute, but were unable to break down their opponents for the remainder of the game.
Djibouti, who have two wins in their last nine games, found an equalizer in the 70th minute.
The last 20 minutes of the game was cagey but both teams could not breach the other's defence.
Equatorial Guinea will open their AFCON tourney against Nigeria on Sunday Afternoon at the Alassane Ouattara Stadium, Abidjan.
