Striker’s Curse in Ivory Coast as Vincent Aboubacar, Sabastien Haller, and Guirassy Pick Up Injuries

The curse of strikers injury has left the camp of Nigeria to visit Cameroun, Ivory Coast and Guinea as the AFCON gets underway this weekend.


Super Eagles lost two strikers, Victor Boniface and Sadiq Umar to knocks few days before AFCON, with Kelechi Iheancho continues to sweat to be fit.


“The curse” has now struck more countries with Ivory Coast losing Dortmund striker Sabastien Haller to injury for their first game.


Cameroun are sweating to have Vincent Aboubacar recover as he is said to be out for no less than 10 days. There are fears he might miss the AFCON.


Guinea are also sweating on the fitness of Bundesliga top scorer Serhou Guirassy who picked up a knock against Nigeria in a friendly game.

The AFCON gets underway on Saturday with host Ivory Coast taking on Guinea Bissau.
