An Abuja based human rights group, Journalists for peace (JFP) has warned former minister of sports, Solomon Danlong to desist from peddling lies against Chief Sunday Dare.
The warning is coming on the heels of the unsubstantiated allegations made against the minister of youth and sports, Chief Sunday Dare by Mr Dalong.
Recently, Mr Dalung has been verbally harassing and molesting the minister at every opportunity, there by putting the job and duties of the minister at risk.
President and secretary-general for Journalists for Justice (JFP) respectively condemned the verbal threats on Chief Dare.
It would be recalled that Mr Dalung has been discrediting and the disrespecting the office of the minister with high impunity.
The group is now calling on the Federal Government and the general public to call Mr Dalung to order before appropriate steps would be taken against him.
Furthermore, JFP states that it will continue to encourage Chief Sunday Dare not to be deterred by any form of harassment and intimidation in pursuit of his demand for better and rewarding environment for sports development in the country.
Meanwhile the embattled former minister of sports, Solomon Danlong who has been severally accused by many for receiving gratifications during his tenure in office is yet to clear himself of this allegation.
Lastly, JFP disclosed that formal letters on this latest development would be addressed to the Inspector General of Police (IG), Director of the Department of State Security (DSS) and other related security organs for immediate action.
