At the Draw of Betsy Obaseki Women Football Tournament, The Honourable Minister of Youth and Sports Development charted the path of women football development.
In an interview with press men, he said
"I've always been an advocate of making sure that we bring home based players into the team. The DNA of Nigerian football had been coaches blending foreign based players and home based players from our league and that has given us successes and we can see what happened during the Aisha Buhari Cup, there was a mix."
While concluding, the Honourable Minister of Youth and Sports Development once again reassure his commitment to make sure that Nigeria teams are built around both home based and foreign based players.
"We will continue to make sure that our teams are blended, recall our Victory against Mali, that effort was a combination of foreign players and home based players from our league."
