The Honourable Minister of youth and Sports development Sunday Dare, has felicitated with Nigeria Super Eagle's players over their performance at their first match.
The Honourable Minister who was in Lagos to watch the match was elated with the performance of the Super Eagles players . The match which took place in Lagos between Nigeria Super Eagles and Liberia was the first Nigeria world cup qualifier. Super Eagle beat Liberia 2:0.
The Minister however implores the Super Eagles not to rest in their performance and ensure they go to caveat and get the maximum point to qualify Nigeria for Qatar 2022.
According to the Minister “I Congratulate Super Eagles. It was a deserved victory. We are clear dominant in this match.We took our chances and at the end of the days we got the points needed to start the world cup qualifier. I want to urge the boys not rest on their performance. They must keep it up and ensure they go to caveat and get the maximum point. As I have rightly said in my earlier interview, we should avoid permutations in the world cup qualifier and try as much as we can to take our chances and qualify Nigeria for Qatar2022", Minister said.
The Minister however concluded by saying Congratulations to Nigeria who believe in football.
