Bayelsa United continued with its resurgence and fine form by beating Wikki Tourists in Bauchi, for the only road win, of Matchday 13 in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).
The victory is a follow up on the 5-2 maulling the Prosperity Boys, winners of the 2021 Nigeria Federation Cup, handed Abia Warriors of Umuahia, in Yenagoa, recently.
The victory took the points tally of Bayelsa United to 15 and they are now 7th, while Wikki Tourists remained 9th on the Group B log, with 12 points.
Abia Warriors were once more on the receiving end when losing 0-2 at Group B leaders, Lobi Stars of Makurdi.
Elsewhere in the Group, Rivers United held Niger Tornadoes of Minna to a goalless draw, at the adopted home of the Ikon Allah Boys, in Kaduna; whilst Enugu Rangers and Sunshine Stars shared the spoils, in a 1-1 draw, at the Ondo State Sports Complex, in Akure.
On Saturday, Dakadda FC aided their fight against the drop by piping promoted Doma United FC 1-0 in Uyo.
Also on Saturday, Bendel Insurance fought back to earn a 1-1 draw with Kwara United in Benin, a result that preserved their unbeaten start to the regular season, and leadership of Group A.
Enyimba International moved up to 4rd after edging Plateau United 2-1 in a battle that pitted two sides in the race to make the season ending Super Six.
Akwa United were held to a 2-2 draw by struggling Nasarawa United in Uyo; whilst Gombe United compounded the worries of bottom club, El-Kanemi Warriors with a 1-0 win.
The South West derby cum battle of 'stars' between Shooting Stars and Remo Stars ended 1-1 at the Adamasimba Stadium in Ibadan.
