Recap of day 3- 2022 senior world wrestling championships in Belgrade, Serbia

Mercy Genesis 50kg was our lone entrant on day 3 of the world wrestling championships. Mercy started off the championships quite well winning her first three bouts and qualifying for the semi finals. However, despite her gallant efforts, she fell to the reigning world and Olympic champion from Japan. However, she qualifies to wrestle for her first ever senior world championship medal tomorrow at 6pm Belgrade time, 5pm Nigeria time. Below are details of the matches:

Mercy Genesis will wrestle for our first medal at the Belgrade world championships against an undetermined opponent tomorrow.
Meanwhile Olympic silver medallist Blessing Oborududu 68kg and under -23 world bronze medallist Esther Kolawale 57kg, will start competing tomorrow.
Esther Kolawale first match is against NGUYEN T. (Vie) while Blessing Oborududu starts off against the winner between ENKHSAIKHAN D (MGL) and BAS N (TUR)
