Former Paralympician and Ex coach of the powerlifting team of Nigeria, Prince Are Feyisetan says the Team Nigeria Paralympics athletes are still the best in the world after 2 years preparations for the Paralympics games.
Speaking with www.ckdmedia.ng the respected powerlifting coach declared that the Corona virus Pandemic totally impeded in the preparations of the team.
"This issue is not limited to Nigeria alone, it affected most countries participating at the games, as you can see not all the countries are meeting up with expectations despite the fact that some of them had long years of preparations".
Prince Are is also in agreement that the Team Nigeria contingent wasn't big enough compared to the athletes that represented Nigeria at the Rio games in Brazil 2016.
"Some of our parathletes didn't qualify for Tokyo because we didn't participate in many competitions and so our podium chances were limited by numbers".
The multiple award winning coach heap praises on the honourable minister of youth and sports, Chief Sunday Dare for preparing the team under short notice for this games.
"It takes 4 years to prepare for this games, the minister came in under two years and he has turned things around",
"The minister should know those who are working and those who are just praise singer and those doing eyeservice"
