Nigeria National League matchday two will see highly rated Lagos based team, Ottasolo FC host another Lagos outfit, Lagos City FC in what appears to be the first NNL Lagos derby of the new season.
Ottasolo FC will look to secure the maximum point in the opening game when they host Lagos City as they set to build on their swift accomplishments in the NLO where they emerged as the Champions of the Ilorin Playoffs centre.
Consequently, the board also released the full fixtures of the new season and Ottasolo will be on bye on the opening day but will play host to Lagos City, a local rival in the matchday two fixtures
Despite exhibiting a shambolic performance in the NLO Super 8 Playoffs in Ikene, Ogun State where the team managed to pick just a point out of possible Nine, coach Seyi Boys returned to the drawing board and gave a good account of themselves at the Ottasolo Pre-season Tournament where they held Lobi Stars a NPFL side that paraded highly experienced players like Douglas Achiv, Gabriel Wasa, Adekunle Adeniyi to a 1 - 1 draw.
Ottasolo Boys have since commenced preparations ahead of the new NNL season and it has paid off as the management have been able to recruit best legs that will give the team a befitting outing in the course of 2021/2022 NNL season.
Agege Stadium is meant to be the home ground of Ottasolo FC, however, due to the ongoing renovation at the Agege Stadium, the management of the team are working on another suitable alternative home ground which will be announced before the commencement of the season.
Speaking to Ottasolo media immediately after the fixtures was released was the chairman of Ottasolo FC, Otunba Gabriel Davies
"I must first of all commend the NNL Board for hosting a world class AGA, it doesn't get better than what we saw in Benin. The organisation and coordination was top notch. Kudos to the NNL Supremo.
Talking about the grouping and the fixtures, the former Stationary Stores defender said,
"I think it was a fair draw and I am okay with it. All we have to do is to step-up preparations and give a good account of ourself when the new season get underway.
"We are new comers in the NNL, we are ready to learn and we want to prove a point. We just hope and believe that we don't spend more than one season in the NNL because our sole target is to gain promotion immediately. The chairman concluded.
Meanwhile, Ottasolo FC are currently camping at Owode, Idi-Iroko in Ogun State to perfect their preparations ahead of the new NNL season that is set to kick-off Friday 11th February, 2022.
