'Omo Ologo' Awoniyi Nets Final Day Brace to Qualify Union Berlin for Europa League

Super Eagles hitman was the cynosure of all eyes on the final day of the German Bundesliga season as his brace gave Union Berlin a 3-2 win over VFL Bochum.

Going into the last games, the Berlin club was fighting for a Europa ticket and needed a win to secure their berth.

Awoniyi doubled Union's lead with a well-taken penalty on the 25th minute but Bochum scored twice to level scores at 2-2.

Awoniyi was then on hand to score the winning goal with two minutes of added time left. The 3-2 win ensured Union Berlin finished 5th on the log.

The former Liverpool player ended the campaign with 20 goals and three assists in 43 games.
