Olympics Eagles Star Promise David Ecstatic After Joining Estonia First Division Club, Kalju FC

Nigeria's U23 Olympic Eagles Star, Promise David says he is in Cloud 7, after joining Nõmme Kalju FC of Estonia, on a three year deal.


David, who joined from Siren FC of Malta told www.ckdmedia.ng that Kalju FC is his third professional club in Europe, and it is truly awesome for him.


He said he feels truly at home since arriving at Kalju, where he has been the toast of most of the fans.


According to the Nigeria International, his attention was first drawn to Kalju before he moved to Malta to join his last club, but he has kept tabs with the club and is fully aware of its ambition and expectations.

"The club is now 100 years, and being a landmark year, the best way to celebrate this centinary is to win the Estonian championship, so that we can qualify to play in Europe", David said.


He thanked the management of his new club, for not giving up on him, and believing in him as a player that can fight for the badge, as well as the black and pink colours of the club.


Nõmme Kalju FC, commonly known as Nõmme Kalju, or simply as Kalju, is an Estonian professional football club, based in Nõmme, Tallinn, that competes in the Meistriliiga, the top flight of Estonian football.


The club's home ground is the Hiiu Stadium, and after 36 games played so far this season, they are joint 3rd on the log, which has 10 teams, with 65 points, a whopping 32 points adrift of the table toppers, Flora FC.


David was part of the U-23 team that progressed to the final round of the U-23 AFCON Qualifiers, after eliminating Tanzania's U-23 Taifa Stars.


He was part of the first leg that ended in a barren draw in Der es Salaam, capital of Tanzania.


Promise David has been nicknamed ‘BAT’ by fans and admirers of his club, because of his exploits for the team.
