Old is Gold! Utaka Scoops Japanese Top League Award

Nigerian forward, Peter Utaka has added another accolade to his kitty after being named April's Player of the Month in the Japanese J1 League.

The 38 year old won the prize after scoring 4 goals in 5 games for Kyoto Sanga in the month under review, helping his team go unbeaten also in the month.

The former Royal Antwerp attacker is currently the highest goal scorer in the league with 8 goals after 13 matchdays.

His side, Kyoto Sanga are ninth on the log and will be hoping the Nigerian forward comes through for them for the remaining of the season.
