NWFL SUPER 6 ended as Bayelsa Queens are crowned winners of the Super 6. This won’t have been possible without the goal poacher, Gift Monday, under the tutelage of coach Moses Aduku. The team showed determination and were focused, right from the commencement of the tourney. There’s no doubt that Gift Monday is the ‘Man of The Tournament’, 9 goals in 5 appearances.
Gift won the Golden Boot Award for highest goals of the season, Most valuable player, player of the match against Nasarawa Amazons Fc.
With the great performances displayed by the players in the Super 6, it’s evident that our league is gradually catching up with egalitarian society.
While the head of female league, Aisha Falode was joyous over the successful completion of the Tournament as she expressed hope for female football in Nigeria.
