Emmanuel Ekpenyong netted the only goal of the match, as Doma United FC returned to the summit of the 2023/24 Nigeria Premier Football League log, with a 1-0 victory against Kano Pillars FC, in the only fixture played on Saturday.
Ekpenyong scored in the 11th minute, for the Savannah Tigers, at a packed Pantami Stadium, in Gombe as four-time NPFL champions Kano Pillars, got reduced to ten (10) men, at the stroke of half time, and had to play the entire second half with a man less.
Victory, and a well-deserved three (3) points took the tally of Doma United to 25, two points clear of the pair of Lobi Stars of Makurdi and Remo Stars of Ikenne; who are both on 23 points, and will have the opportunity to respond to Doma United's surge to the top of the table on Sunday.

The victory for Doma United, extended the unbeaten run of Coach Akinade Onigbinde tutored side to eleven (11), and a ninth clean sheet kept by goalkeeper Kingdom Osayi, who also has two (2) assists to his name, this season; and only on Friday scooped the League Bloggers player of the month, for November.
