Akwa United has finally secured the services of Ottasolo FC defender, Sholumade Boluwaji after completing his transfer process on Monday afternoon.
The dependable defender join Akwa United until the end of the 2021/2022 NPFL season having spent halve of the season with the Akure Landlords.
The young defender's performance in the colours of Sunshine Stars caught the attention of top NPFL teams who have been making enquiries about a potential move.
Consequently, after the end of the first stanza, Akwa United stepped up their bid to sign the fast rising defender and personal terms agreement was sealed before Sholumade eventually signed the dotted lines for the NPFL defending champions until the end of the ongoing NPFL season.
Boluwaji is presently in Katsina with Akwa United where they will trade tackles against Kano Pillars in an NPFL Matchday 21 fixture and the former Sunshine Stars is expected to make his debut for 'The Promise Keepers'.
