NPFL Super Six: Accreditation Holds on Friday in Lagos, as Super Six Gathers Momentum

The draw and accreditation of players and officials for the 2022/23 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Super Six Play-offs will both hold on Friday, June 2, 2023.


According to information obtained by ckdmedia.ng from the IMC, both exercises will hold at the Lagos corporate headquarters of GTI Group, investment Partners to the league.


Head of Operations of the IMC, Davidson Owumi said the draw is scheduled for 11am and plans for a successful Play-offs have peaked for the season ending event.


"Invitations have been sent out to our partners, Media organisations and dignitaries that would grace the occasion", Owumi said through the IMC Media.


Defending champion, Rivers United, Lobi Stars and Sunshine Stars (from Group B), Bendel Insurance, Remo Stars and Enyimba of Aba (from Group B) are the teams to compete for the league title and slots in next season's CAF Inter-Club Championships from June 3-11, 2023 in Lagos.


Cable Satellite television giants, Supersport have been setting up at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, in Onikan Lagos, venue of the tournament, for the live coverage of all the matches.


Meanwhile a woman referee, Ndidi Patience Madu and a female Assistant Referee, Abibat Yusuf are among the list of eight (8) elite Referees and eight (8) Assistant Referees, named to officiate in the matches.


Winner of the Super Six, are guaranteed a take home purse of one hundred million Naira, in addition to the title, while the first runners up will be rewarded with places in the CAF Champions League and CAF Confederation Cup respectively.


In a related development, Vice Chairman of the IMC, Paul Bassey has been named as Head of the Play-off Local Organising Committee.


Bassey is expected to bring his wealth of experience in similar position at state, national and international competitions to ensure a successful organisation of the tournament to determine the Champions of the season.
