Panic buttons may have now been pressed, after Rangers International of Enugu lost all two of their opening Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) matches in a space of just four days.
Having lost 0-2 at home in Awka to Oriental rivals, Abia Warriors the Umuahia-based club under the management of Erasmus Onu as Chief Coach, the Flying Antelopes are now languishing at the foot of the log, with two uncharacteristic defeats.
Records showed that it's been more than a decade where Rangers International failed to win their 1st two matches of the season.
Rangers International, the winner of the Nigeria Professional Football League far back 2016, under the watchful eyes of Coach Imama Amapakabo, no doubt have started this term on a wrong footing, having lost at home in Awka to Abia Warriors on Day 1 of the League, and losing narrowly 0-1 in their second match against Lobi Stars FC of Makurdi, in Jos.
The big question now is, can Coach Abdul Makaiba get it right on Matchday 3 by picking his first 3 points of the season?
Time will tell.
