NPFL ADJUSTS LEAGUE FIXTURES DUE TO AFCON 2023

The Nigerian Premier Football League has announced adjustment to fixtures for Match Day 18, to accommodate the forthcoming AFCON 2023.


Davidson Owumi, Chief Operating Officer of the Nigerian Premier Football League, acknowledged the need for these adjustments in order to align with the commencement of the AFCON tournament, the first match originally set for Sunday, the 14th of January, has been rearranged for Monday, the 15th of January.


Six pivotal matches are now set to take place on Monday, the 15th of January, showcasing the league's competitive spirit and thrilling football action.


In light of the scheduling alterations, certain standout encounters will unfold earlier than previously scheduled. Rangers vs Gombe and Heartland vs Kwara United, alongside Abia Warriors vs Doma FC and Sunshine FC vs Niger Tornadoes, are now slated to thrill fans on Saturday, the 13th of January 2024.


The Super Eagles will tackle Equatorial Guinea on Sunday, January 14th, 2022 at 3pm.
