Registration portal for bonafide clubs wishing to compete in the 2021/2022 Nigeria national league (NNL) season scheduled to kick off Friday 11, February, 2022 has been opened.
Clubs are expected as scheduled to ensure they utilize the time frame allotted to formalize their registration online. The novel online registration was introduced to eliminate human traffics and hiccups as witnessed in the past periods and to make for easy assessments of data and information supplied by the various clubs about their players, coaches and officials.
The portal opening which is automatic can only be assessed by clubs that have fully complied with listed registration and club licensing requirements spelt out in the rule book for the league in the new season.
Chief Operating Officer of the league Mr.Emmanuel Adesanya has warned clubs to religiously follow the scheduled time-table as the NNL registration portal will be closed by the midnight of Monday 7 February, 2022 and no extension to be entertained.
Speaking to NNL Media and Communications outfit Mr.Adesanya expressed disenchantment over what he called poor response of the clubs towards registration for the new season, warning that the league will kick off as fixed with only the number of clubs who have duly fulfilled their registration obligations.
According to him: Meeting up with needed registration demands is key to ensuring the league kick off as agreed, we are running a professional league and not an amateur one, club managers must help us achieve our goals by responding promptly for us to attain our calendar, they still have ample chance to do so”
“Those who are not ready to face the stipulations in the Nigeria national league should not slow us down, they should quit and fight to come back when they are prepared “
Forty six(46) clubs: twenty(21) in the Northern Conference and twenty five (25) in the Southern conference are expected to feature in the 2021/2022 NNL season fixed to commence Friday 11th February, 2022 at designated centres across the country.
