Blessing Oborodudu, the Adekuoroye sisters strike Gold, as 11 Athletes win 11 medals for Nigeria at African Wrestling Championship.
The African Wrestling Championship in Morocco was a display of Nigeria's domination in the sports as the country's athletes couldn't resist the urge to win.
Season wrestler, Odunayo Adekuoroye lastest victory in Morocco came , as she moved up to the 59kg category overcame Siwar Bouseta of Tunisian, winning 12-2.
However the younger sister, Mercy Adekuoroye also won her first senior continental medal in the 53kg category, defeating Ivorian Nogona Bakayoko 9-1 in the final.
Blessing Oborududu has also secured a record eleventh consecutive gold medal at the ongoing 2022 African Wrestling Championship (AWC) in Morocco.
Oborududu defeated Menatalla Ahmed Osman Mostafa Badran of Egypt in the final of the women’s under-68kg category at El Jadida on Saturday night.
