Nigeria's U17 Women's Team Drawn in Group A for FIFA U17 Women's World Cup

Nigeria’s U17 Women’s Football Team, the Flamingos, have been drawn in Group A of the 8th FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup finals. They will compete alongside host nation and debutants Dominican Republic, Ecuador, and New Zealand.


The draw ceremony took place on Saturday night at the Fray Anton de Montesinos Monument in Santo Domingo, the capital of the Dominican Republic. The event also saw Africa’s other representatives, Kenya and Zambia, placed in groups C and D, respectively.


Kenya will face Korea Democratic People’s Republic, Mexico, and England, while Zambia will go up against Japan, Poland, and Brazil.


Reigning world champions Spain are at the helm of Group B, which also includes the USA, Korea Republic, and Colombia.


The tournament is scheduled to take place from October 16 to November 3, 2024. All 32 matches will be held in the cities of Santo Domingo and Santiago de los Caballeros.
