Ex Super Eagles international, Gabar Lawal has stated that National assignments are more important that any individual aspirations.

Lawal celebrated the Super Eagles victory against Cape Verde while advising the lads to stay focus.
"Yes ooh Super Eagles players have no excuse against Cape Verde, it was a must win for them".
Lawal stated further that the players should jettisoned individual show manship for team play.
"If you look at the Super Eagles squad, individual and collectively as a team, Nigeria is a bigger match than Cape Verde looking at super eagles players playing in top clubs in Europe but team play is most important for collective victory".
He said no player should hold the country to ransom because the world cup ticket is a must for the nation.
"Akin, Nigeria is bigger than some players o, No amount of excuses will justify any failure".
