Nigeria Female League Has Grown Tremendously

The meteoric rise of female league as at today in Nigeria, can never be over emphasized.

The just concluded NWFL Premiership Super 6 made me realize that there are more Florence Omagbemi, Perpetual Nwokocha and Asisat Oshoala in the league. The eyes for goal of Monday Gift is simply topnotch, scoring 9 goals in 5 appearances is remarkable.

The structure and organization of the Super 6 by former astute sports broadcaster, Aisha Falode is worthy of mention. The lady of impeccable character has really transformed the league, no wonder the Falconets and Super Falcons qualified for World Cup, with a game in hand for the Flamingos at the Moshood Abiola stadium to qualify for U17 World Cup in India.

I find no word strong enough to salute the Head of female league, Ms Falode for a job well done with female football in Nigeria. A girl child can now choose football as a profession without sense of regret from the parents and loved ones.
