It is glaring that public private partnership with the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) has been of tremendous help, in terms of logistics, transportation, allowances and as well the welfare of the national team.
Much kudos must be given to the brain behind this creativity, talking about the NFF President and FIFA Council member, Mr Amaju Melvin Pinnick. He has really done absolutely well, in terms of partnership with multinational companies like Tom Tom, Peak Milk, Auto and host of others.
The latest are the two new signings, Air Peace and MTN. All these have given NFF an ease.
The return of MTN as the official telecommunications partners of the NFF (all the national teams). It starts with a 3 year deal valued at N500m yearly, that’s N1.5billion 3 years renewable deal. Yesterday was Air Peace as the official Airline of ALL the National teams worth N300m yearly, and today is MTN. Amanju says the NFF will be unveiling 2 more sponsors for the national teams and grassroots football development within the next two weeks.
History and record will have it that during Amaju Melvin Pinnick's regime, NFF was more or less 70% independent, without government funding.
