Kwara United began the encounter with intensity of leaving Lafia with atleast a point which eventually paid up. It was a match where the two teams had their chances in the close contest encounter but Alao Danbani put the visitors in the driving seat as at 19’ minutes of play with a beautiful strike which made the stadium look like a grave yard.
The dominant of the away team was glaring, that would have resulted to the second goal but thanks to Abubakar Abdullahi who cleared the ball to safety as at 36’ minutes.
Chijioke Alakwe and Uche Ihuarulam didn’t really find their bearing in the encounter, as former Super Eagles goalkeeper was not really been put into a serious test, as first half ended 0-1 in favour of the visitors.
On resumption, coach Bala Nkiyu brought in three players in replace of Chijioke Alakwe, Uche Ihuarulam and Moyi Hassan.
Nasarawa even the score after Michael Tochukwu hits a left-footed shot into the top corner, leaving goalkeeper Dele Aiyenugba rooted to the spot. Abdullahi Abubakar gave the assist to the box to box midfielder.
