Super Eagles striker, Sadiq, who was given the starting role in the attacking line of Real Sociedad against Sevilla, justified the inclusion, as the Kaduna born striker scored what seems to be the goal of the season at the Real Arena.
Speaking to www.ckdmedia.ng, the former Almeria highest goal scorer said, “I am so pleased to have scored my first goal of the season. It’s definitely a sigh of relief to me.
“Honestly, it has been a difficult time, when goals were not forth coming, but I’m glad that I scored the winning goal that guaranteed our 3 points, the match ended 2-1 in favour of my team.
“Looking forward to more playing time and better outing in subsequent games”, the lanky player concluded.
The Nigerian International dribbled the marker to have scored the stunning, match winning goal, at 22' minutes of play.
With this victory, Real Sociedad is now fourth on the La Liga table, having 25 points in 14 matches.
It would be recalled that Sadiq Umar was close to joining Sevilla, before he was snapped up by Real Sociedad.
