With the United States series of friendlies wrapped up for the Super Eagles of Nigeria, attention has quickly switched to the AFCON 2023 qualifiers, as camp opens on Saturday at the John Wood Hotel, Abuja.
Laliga Smartbank champion, Sadiq Umar is due to link up with the team in Abuja on Saturday, while Ahmed Musa has also been invited for the games against Sierra Leone and Sao Tome and Principe.
Napoli's striker Victor Osimhen, Abdullahi Shehu, Samuel Chukwueze, and Zaidu Sanusi have also been invited to join the team in a bid to start off the AFCON qualifying series on a strong footing.
The team that traveled to the United States will arrive Nigeria on Saturday late evening, after two games against Mexico and Ecuador.
The Super Eagles will tackle Sierra Leone on the 9th of June in Abuja before flying to Marrakech to face Sao Tome in Morocco.
