Super Eagles Winger, Moses Simon was again in his best form, whilst propelling his France Ligue 1 side, Nantes FC to a hard fought 2-1 road win at Strasbourg FC.
Nantes FC won the game courtesy of a brace of assists contributed by Nigerian winger, whose solo runs on Friday night, kept the defence-line of the hosts on their toes, for the entire duration of the Day-8 fixture.
The first goal was netted on the 50th minute of play, after Moses Simon dribbled past three opposing players, before crossing the ball from the left flank, and that produced the opening goal, turned in by Marcus Coco.
As if that was not enough, Moses continued to be a threat in Nantes FC's 4-3-2 formation, all through the second half of the game, which yielded the result.
Eight minutes later, Moses nodded-in a ball had hit the crossbar before Samuel Moutoussamy scored the second goal, to send the scanty fans of Nantes into wide jubilation, but the home side still managed a consolotory goal, through Moise Sahi Dion in added time to halve the deficit to 1-2; www.ckdmedia.ng reports.
With this result, FC Nantes climbed above Strasbourg FC, and are now 8th on the Ligue 1 log, with 11 points, 1 point clear of the side which once paraded Flying Eagles of Nigeria star, Godwin Opara and Moses who is set to join the Super Eagles camp in Portugal, after a moment of hiatus from the team, was named man of the match for his work-rate and enterprising display in the match.
