Plethora of Kano State football fans have continued to express their opinion over the pending recruitment of a new technical Adviser for Kano Pillars FC
Following the recent developments that led to Kano Pillars management dissolving the technical crew of the team, the Sai Masu Gida football enthusiasts have resorted to the useage of various social media platforms to voice out their appeal to the handlers of the club to recruit the best hands to manage club.
An independent investigation conducted by our reporter revealed that, if the voice of the fans would count, then either Salisu Yusuf or the highly rated Spain based coach, Henry Makinwa will emerged as the new Technical Adviser.
We heard on live radio sports shows in Kano State where fans are calling on the club management to shun selfish interest in the recruitment exercise, urging that the interest of the club should guide the scout for a new coach.
Henry Makinwa and Salisu Yusuf have been shorlisted to be interviewed for possible engament to fill the vacant post of Technical Adviser of the traditional club.
Based on what www.ckdmedia.ng have gathered, the Mai Sugida fans have been pointing out their preferred new gaffer and two names have been mentioned, one is the former Enyimba coach, Salisu Yusuf a disciplinarian, who is said to be an experienced home boy, who understands the Kano football routes and NPFL.
Salisu Yusuf tutored El-Kanemi Warriors as technical adviser before he went on to be named assistant coach to Stephen Keshi who was serving as head coach of the Nigerian senior football team. On 24 October 2016, he was officially appointed by the Nigeria Football Federation as the chief coach of the Nigeria national football team.
In November 2019 he became manager of Rangers International
Henry Makinwa is the second coach, he is young, highly technical, level headed and vibrant, if appointed he is expected to bring his wealth of experience gained from European football managerial career to the Kano outfit.
Henry Makinwa is a trained European Coach who bagged his UEFA PRO coaching certificate from the Spanish FA. He also has UEFA 'A' and 'B' which are prerequisite certificates to 'UEFA Pro' Coaching certificate.
He has seen it all when it comes to coaching in Nigeria football as he had tutored Abubakar Bukola Saraki FC (ABS) and promoted them from Nigeria National League (NNL) to the NPFL in 2016.
He also had a stint with Abia Warriors FC of Umuahia where he helped them sustained their status in the Nigeria top flight league in 2018.
Makinwa also managed Katsina United FC 2020 where he broke 'The Chanji Boys' four years poor run of form on the road by handing them a 2 - 1 victory over Sunshine Stars in Akure. The teams first victory on the road since they gained promotion back to the NPFL. The team also recorded their best ever performance in the NPFL as they ended the 2019/2020 season 7th on the League Table behind 6th position Kano Pillars
