Kwara United will go for redemption crusade on Thursday when they host Kano Pillars in their NPFL match-day seven clash at the Kwara state stadium.
Things turned sour for Abdullahi Biffo and his wards on Sunday in Port Harcourt as River United inflicted a 3-0 defeat on Kwara United in biggest loss so far this term.
Abdullahi Biffo and his wards will want to bounce back to winning ways when they face Kano Pillars who have so far this season been a bad travellers.
In history, Kwara United and Kano Pillars have met 17 times in competitive football with Harmony Boys winning 7 as the Sai Masugida won 8 with the remaining 2 games ending in draws.
Last season when Kano Pillars visited Ilorin, the Sai Masugida lost 1-0 thanks to Michael Ohanu who scored the winner for the Harmony Boys.
But this time around, Kwara United are without Ohanu and Junior Lokosa and Samad Kadiri will have to lift their heads up and do the job for the Ilorin based side.
Kano Pillars will go into this game with aggressive minds having lost their previous 6 League games in Ilorin against Kwara United, but they are still expected to suffer another defeat in Ilorin on Thursday.
Speaking ahead of the encounter, Kwara United gaffer Abdullahi Biffo explained that his wards are ready for the battle urging Kwarans to continue with their support for the team.
"The defeat at Rivers United was a painful one because it was not what we wanted, but we are ready to pick the maximum three points against Kano Pillars," Biffo explained to Kwara United media.
After the encounter against Kano Pillars, Kwara United will be traveling to Ibadan for another NPFL battle with Shooting Stars this coming Sunday.
