Keep the boys, they will make Nigeria Proud, F&A boss urge NFF

January, 24 2022.

The CEO of F&A Sporting Management, Prince Fred Akhigbe has urged the NFF to keep the players after the Super Eagles ouster by the Carthage Eagles of Tunisia at the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon.

Ten man Super Eagles suffered their first defeat in the ongoing Afcon after losing by a lone goal to Tunisia in the round of sixteen to end Nigeria journey at the 32nd editionof Afcon in Cameroon.

Speaking after the Super Eagles bowed out of the tournament from his base in Italy, the CEO of F&A Sporting Management, Prince Akhigbe urged the federation not to be hard on the players and coaches.

"I think the boys gave their all just that the Tunisian did their assignment perfectly to study the Super Eagles style and capitalize on our weaknesses to defeat us.

"I wish to urge the Federation not to be hard on the players because that's what football is all about. Sometimes you win and sometimes you lose. We all enjoyed it when they won all the three games at the preliminary stage and we should all take the defeat in good faith.

"It was never the intention of the players and coaches to lose but that is football.

"We should go back immediately to the drawing board to Identify our areas of weakness and fix it before we face Ghana in the World Cup playoff in March.

"I still have so much confidence in the boys, so, I wish to advise the NFF to keep the boys together as I am very positive they will do us proud in the World Cup playoff and in the main competition. He concluded
