November, 26 2021.

Former coach of Enyimba Football Club Aba, who won the CAF Champions League in 2003 with the People's Elephant and became Coach of the Year in Africa, has drawn support for coach Emmanuel Amuneke to be the head coach of the Super Eagles of Nigeria.

According to coach Kadiri Ikhana who spoke on a platform, He said:

"For now, Amuneke stands the best suitable coach for our team, that is just my submission. He can do the job. Let us rally round him, support him, give him the necessary tools he needs to succeed. He will definitely triumph in the job. He has done it before, it's not going to be a new challenge for him. He has coached in the Super Eagles, he has coached at the youth level. That is the kind of coach we need at this critical time”.

“We need a coach who knows the team, who knows the players and Amuneke is quite suitable for this job, irrespective of anyone that the NFF has been thinking of", coach Kadiri Ikhana concluded.
