Jerome Ngbankwe Gets ABS Ilorin FC Coaching Role

Jerome Ngbankwe has been appointed as the new head coach of Nigeria National League side, Abubakar Bukola Saraki Ilorin Football Club. It was confirmed on Friday in Ilorin by CKDmedia.

At the unveiling ceremony, the club director of football, Chief Alloy Chukwuemeka announced that Ugbankwe, having work with the club before, satisfied the club's taste and charged the new tactician to Align with the mandate issued, returned the club back to the top flight, respect the club values, assured that the club will provide the needed support for him to carry out his duties dilligently.

In his words, Jerome Ugbankwe said: "I will surely give my best but we have to access the players first to see where we need to improve, then start the process which I believe will be made easier with the clubs existing structure".

The 53yr old replaces Cameroonian Tony Encho who signed for Crown FC of Ogbomosho following the expiration of his contract.

Born in Taraba, he has badges and certificates from Nigeria Institute of Sports, attended Laliga Professional training in 2017, Aspire Football Seminar 2016, Citizen & Leadership 2014, Strategy for Youths development by the NFF and posses Licence C CAF Certificate.

During his playing days, he represented Zamfara Utd, Eagles Cement and was an assistant to Hassan Abubakar between 2018-2019.

According to the club, Jerome has put pen to paper on a one year deal to be provided with accommodation and official vehicle.
