Injured Flying Eagles Midfielder, Daga Daniel Out Of The Rest of AFCON Tournament

Flying Eagles of Nigeria reliable defensive midfielder, Daga Daniel has been ruled out of playing in the rest of the ongoing U20 Africa Cup of Nations tournament, being staged in Egypt.

This follows an assessment of the injury sustained by the holding midfielder, in Nigeria's 0-1 loss to Senegal, in their opening Group A fixture against the Cub Teranga Lions, on Sunday February 19th, in Cairo.

Recall that Daga Daniel, a graduate of FC One Rocket Academy in Uyo has been impressive, and has managed to win the hearts of Flying Eagles administrative Coaching staff, until he cropped the injury, which effectively ended his participation in the tournament.

Daniel's usual commanding presence in the middle of the park will therefore be missed by the Flying Eagles, as they take on free scoring and a very mobile Junior Scorpions of Gambia on Monday, for a place in the final.
